projected capacitive touch panel manufacturing process demonstration

The manufacturing process of a projected capacitive touch panel involves several steps:

  1. Glass Substrate Preparation: The process begins with the preparation of the glass substrate used as a touch panel. This includes cleaning, cutting, and polishing to ensure the flatness and surface quality of the substrate.
  2. Substrate Coating: A transparent conductive layer is coated on the surface of the glass substrate.
  3. ITO Pattern Formation: The Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) pattern is formed on the coated substrate. This pattern is typically arranged in an X-Y grid of intersecting electrodes.
  4. Insulating Layer Application: An insulating layer is applied between the X and Y axis ITO patterns.
  5. Cover Glass Application: A cover glass, often with anti-reflection and anti-fouling film, is applied over the insulating layer.
  6. Touch Sensor Production: The touch sensors are produced and combined at this point. The vertical (X axis) and horizontal (Y axis) sensors are processed and combined.
  7. LCD Panel Production: The LCD panel is produced and bonded to the touch sensor.
  8. Modularization Stage: Optical Clear Adhesive (OCA) lamination or Optical Clear Resin (OCR) coating is applied, followed by curing. The Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) is then bonded.
  9. Setup Stage: Another round of OCA lamination or OCR coating is applied, followed by curing. The panel is then cleaned.
  10. Cover Glass Production: The cover glass is produced, which involves screen printing, coating, cleaning, curing, and UV hardening.
  11. Completion: The touch panel, LCD panel, and cover glass are combined to complete the touch panel.

The finished projected capacitive touch panel could be used on your OEM solutions like smartphones, tablets, car navigator, digital signages, and much more.

This is a high-level overview of the process. The exact steps can vary based on the specific design and manufacturing process of the touch panel, which requires precise control and dust-free workshop conditions.

With dust-free workshops and pure water generator, T-Touch Electronics is capable of mass manufacturing large size up to 110 inches. Please don’t hesitate to contact us via the form below for details.
